At the Paramount, Poppy turned pristine surfaces into pressure, then let the distortion take over.

Constantly Nowhere arrived first as a tape intro. Poppy followed with “have you had enough?” and “the cost of giving up,” moving through a set that kept flipping between synthetic control and metallic impact. The crystal mic stand and ice-blue costume gave the stage a polished center, but the songs never stayed ornamental.

Across 75 minutes, the visual language tightened around her: bright sleeves against black space, a white guitar under red light, then quiet portraits between the heavier turns. The encore paired “halo” with “new way out,” closing the night where the whole performance lived: elegance under pressure.
